Explore the Beauty of Nature at Cooper’s Hawk Vineyards: Introducing the Hawk Trail🌳
We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the Hawk Trail, a stunning new addition to CHV. This trail is the culmination of our AFFORESTATION project, a decade-long commitment to restoring five acres of land to its ancestral native habitat.
In 2012, we embarked on this journey, planting over seven thousand trees and creating a one-acre wetland. Today, the Hawk Trail invites you to explore the natural beauty that has flourished here, thanks to the support of Ducks Unlimited and our partnership with the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA).
Winding through 1.5 kilometers of lush greenery, the Hawk Trail is open seven days a week, offering a serene escape into nature. As you walk the trail, you’ll encounter a diverse array of wildlife, including eighteen species of animals and over fifty species of birds, all protected by native Carolinian trees, wildflowers, and plants.
Our dedication to conservation has been recognized with the Essex Region Conservation Authority’s Conservation Farm Award in 2021 and registration under UN Standards as a Sustainable Tourism operation in 2022. We are proud of these achievements and excited to share this vibrant ecosystem with you.
Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, the Hawk Trail is a place to reconnect with the land as it was hundreds of years ago. After your walk, we invite you to relax at The Vines Restaurant and Patio, where you can enjoy a glass or flight of our exquisite wines, all grown on this very property. Don’t forget to take home a bottle to remember your experience.
Come visit us and feel the connection to Mother Nature that the Hawk Trail offers. We look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful new feature at Cooper’s Hawk Vineyards.
