The 2017 growing season was wetter than normal, but August brought warmer and dry weather which continued into November. This allowed for slow and even maturation of the grapes in our Talon Red blend.
This wine presents an aroma of raspberry, cocoa bean, black licorice, cinnamon and smoky cigar box.
The palate has dark cherry, nutmeg and cassis. Chewy tannins add extra texture to this amazing vintage.
This wine is the perfect pairing for Bolognese pasta, BBQ hamburgers and pizza. Think dark sauces and light spices. Coffee cream truffles are the perfect dessert companions for Talon Red.
We have made only 500 cases of this wine. Drink now or over the next 3-5 years.
